The Geode Outlet was born from more than 25 years of genuine passion for the earth's natural artistry. What started as a fascination with minerals grew into deep relationships with mines, first-tier distributors, and collectors worldwide — giving us access to material most people never get the chance to see, let alone own.
We are collectors first, sellers second. We handpick every specimen at the source, buy in volume, cut out the middlemen, and price based on true value — not hype. While we made our name on large statement pieces, we deal in all sizes of specimen. If a piece doesn't move us, it doesn't make the cut.

What began more than 25 years ago as a simple fascination with the earth's natural beauty quickly grew into something far greater. The incredible artistry found in minerals sparked a journey that transformed a casual hobby into a lifelong passion. Along the way, it gifted us enduring friendships, unforgettable adventures, global travel, and countless experiences we treasure deeply.
A Journey Fueled by Passion
As our enthusiasm expanded, so did the path it carried us down. We discovered that collecting minerals wasn't just about the pieces themselves — it was about the people, the relationships, and the opportunity to access truly exceptional material at fair prices. Venturing into large statement pieces opened a new chapter for us. The wide range of pricing in the market was eye opening, often driven more by popularity and aesthetics than by true value. Over time, as we built strong relationships with businesses, wholesalers, and eventually mines, we uncovered a few fundamental truths that reshaped our entire approach.
From Hobby to Heartfelt Business
What began looking from the outside like a major business to others, was in reality, just us buying for our own growing collection! But our reputation grew, and with it came opportunities rarely offered in the mineral world. We gained access to material not available to the public, to stores, or even to most wholesalers. We built direct relationships with mines and first tier distributors, cutting out the middle layers of the supply chain. Even more uniquely, we were allowed to hand select our pieces — a privilege almost unheard of. Before long, we had a massive personal collection and a lot of surplus inventory. We began selling to friends at generous discounts, then to friends of friends, and eventually to stores who realized our quality and pricing surpassed their own distributors. And just like that, our humble business was born.
Sourcing With Integrity, Pricing With Purpose
Today, our approach remains the same — just on a larger scale. We handpick every piece, source directly, avoid middle men, buy in volume, and price based on the true value of the mineral. We've become what we like to call "surplus sellers behind the scenes," leveraging our relationships and sourcing strengths to offer exceptional quality at honest prices. Because we choose every specimen ourselves at the source, we never need to inflate prices to offset poor quality material. Our pricing reflects exactly what it cost us to acquire each piece, nothing more. True affordability, we believe, is essential for any sustainable hobby, collection, or business — previously impossible for most people given the retail costs of larger pieces.

We proudly supply retail stores, mineral clubs, collectors, and enthusiasts of all kinds. Our network allows us to source everything from small treasures to massive, museum-worthy statement pieces that most people never get the chance to see — let alone own. This opened a new world for us, one where we could introduce people to extraordinary minerals they'd never find in stores, at sizes and prices that set us apart. We've loved inspiring not only seasoned collectors and resellers, but also those discovering minerals as art and décor. These days, our greatest joy is introducing others to this world and igniting their own passion for collecting!

We price based on what we pay for specimens. We don't charge more because it's trending or aesthetically lucky. We don't believe in marking up 20x the value just because we can. Fair pricing keeps this hobby accessible to everyone.
